Through Hardships to the Stars

At the peak of his career, Jorge Cevallos suddenly had to stop his professional activity due to the medical problems. In 2014, during his participation in the Formula Renault NEC 2.0 Championship, he was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. As he was suffering from a sharp pain and cramps, he was hospitalized without being able to finish the championship. He had to go through a 3-step colon surgery to regain his optimal bowel function. However, the desease didn't break Jorge's spirit and his strong determination to move forward to success. He did everything possible to recover in the shortest time and make an outstanding comeback to the racing scene. So in March 2016, after 20 months out of competitions, Jorge Cevallos made his official return, taking part in the Pro Mazda Championship "Road to Indy" series in the USA.
